Our service is based in East London, Woodford Green. We may be SomethingLittle, but our flavours are far from small.

The Chef

Hello! My name is Anisha & welcome to my world!

My passion for cooking was inspired by watching generations of my family teach me their own special ways in creating delicious home cooked dishes day after day. Throughout my childhood my mother would always experiment with various dishes, giving it a British twist – which is the root of all my ideas. I love to experiment and believe that getting married and having my son gave me an added reason to experiment in the kitchen – Fussy toddler stage!

SomethingLittle came about during the first lockdown of Covid-19. Speaking to a local platter company about my sisters-in-law’s birthday treat led me to believe that I could open my Indian platter business. It took me a few weeks to research and really develop some of my own recipes that were handed down to me from the multiple generations above mine.

My parents always worked seven days a week and long hours in their own local newsagent, their hard work is so admirable and it’s embedded in me to build this business with sustainable growth. I love keeping busy and as we all know cooking can be very time consuming, my parents have helped me (being sous chefs alongside me to grow this business to where it is today).

Another part of Something Little that I’m extremely excited to announce our very own upcoming cookbook. My inspiration came from my 2-year-old son, when I have to go through the weaning stage. I found myself really experimenting with different ingredients, spices and flavours and I thought to myself – how useful would it be for Asian mothers/fathers to have a Indian weaning book? Which ignited this new project.

I look forward to each and everyone of you trying my food. I put my heart and soul into this, and I really hope you enjoy tasting all the delicious flavours as much as I enjoy cooking it!
